SMS SERVICE (PEKAOSMS)

The SMS service, which is offered within the Pekao24, provides the option of managing an account with the use of a mobile phone 24 hours/day.

The channel allows you to receive account information on the principle of inquiries (sent by the Client) and answers (sent by the Bank).

How to use SMS service?

  • Send a text message with the following content to 3803 or +48 665 657 657
    Tips about sending text message you can find in bookmark "Examples of transactions"
  • We will send a return message confirming acceptance of the order to the phone number from which the text message was sent.

There are no additional fees for receiving return messages to text messages - you will only pay for sending a text message and its amount depends on the network operator.


You can do the following in the PekaoSMS channel after sending a short text message:
  • place an MT to a predefined account (does not apply to foreign currency transfers),
  • suspend or reinstate a recurrent payment,
  • suspend or reinstate a recurrent top-up,
  • top up your mobile phone,
  • check the balance of current accounts,
  • check the balance of payment cards,
  • check the balance of loans,
  • check the balance of term deposits,
  • change PIN for PekaoSMS and TelePekao channels,
  • order and cancel the TAN Block.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

You can also receive in a single text message the basic information on the kept accounts, i.e. account balance, payment card balance, list of most recent transactions, list of loan accounts and list of term deposits. In order to use this function, you should perform SMS personalization in the PekaoInternet channel (in the "Settings" bookmark), i.e. state precisely the information which you want to receive via text message.

ALERTS SENT TO YOUR MOBILE PHONE
PekaoSMS also gives you the option of using the alerts function. It allows you to continuously monitor events on your accounts and on your cards in the Pekao24 service. You can be informed about, e.g. a login attempt to your account, change of limits or making/not making a transfer.

What should I do to use the alerts?

  • check whether the Bank has a current phone number for the purposes of the PekaoSMS channel - you can check it and change it in the PekaoInternet channel (in the SETTINGS bookmark), you can use the help of a TelePekao consultant or you can visit a Bank branch,
  • determine the types of alerts which you want to receive - you can do this in the PekaoInternet channel (in the SETTINGS bookmark) or you can use the help of a TelePekao consultant.

The cost of sending one text message is as little as PLN 0.20.
In Pekao24 you can set a limit of funds that you wish to designate for that purpose. All you need to do is select ALERT MESSAGES in the SETTINGS bookmark and determine the account to be debited with payments and the limit of the amount that you wish to designate for the alerts.

Checking the balance of the default account

send a text message with the following content to 3803 or +48 665 657 657:

You will get the reply with information about the balance and the means available.

NOTE: this stands for the Eurokonto account, or any other account (it is possible to change the default account through PekaoInternet or with the consultant by calling 801 365 365).

Checking of the balance of another account

send a text message with the following content to 3803 or +48 665 657 657:

Balances of payment cards

Checking the loan balance

Getting basic information about the accounts

You will get the reply with the basic information about the accounts and cards (the balance of the default account, the list of 5 last operations, the balance of the term deposits, loans and payment cards).

NOTE: The function is available after personalizing text messages in the internet channel (in the "Settings" bookmark).

Transfer from the default account

send a text message with the following content to 3803:

You will receive a reply confirming the reception of disposal for realisation.

 

Transfer from other account

send a text message with the following content to 3803  or +48 665 657 657:

NOTE: In the SMS content, after the operation code, there should be the number of the account within which the operation is to be done.

Suspending a recurrent payment

You will receive a reply with the information about the suspension of the recurrent payment.

Resuming a recurrent payment

You will receive a reply with the information about the resumption of the recurrent payment.

Phone Top-up

You will receive a reply with the information about the resumption of the top-up.

NOTE: to make use of this function a predefined top-up should be made first. The definition of a new predefined top-up is possible in the internet service and with the  Consultant by calling 801 365 365 or 48 683 82 32.

Suspending a recurrent top-up

Ordering the TAN Blocks

NOTE: you can have three TAN Blocks maximum.

Deactivation of the TAN Block

You will receive information confirming the deactivation of the TAN Block.

Certain PekaoSMS operations require that apart from the customer number and PIN also the code of operation be given in the SMS text message.

Depending on a type of operation, choose one of the below options and enter in a SMS text message the relevant code marked in green.

NOTE: If you want to make an operation on an account other than your primary account, enter number of such account after the code of operation.
