Identification

While designing Pekao24, we made sure that using the service is not only convenient, but also perfectly safe. Pekao24 guarantees absolute safety of your personal data and the funds on your account. All information provided by our Clients is protected in line with the applicable safety and confidentiality standards. In Pekao24, access to your account is protected by means of a multi-layered security system. To identify each Client in the Pekao24 service, we use:

  • Client number

    • This is a unique number assigned by the Bank system to each Client, used for identification purposes via all Pekao24 sites.

      You can find the Client number in, e.g. Bank Client Card and Personal Account Contract.

      If you cannot find your Contract and your Bank Client Card, please contact our consultant by calling: 801 365 365 or 42 683 82 32.

      Once your identity has been successfully verified, our consultant will provide you with your client number.

      You may also verify this number at any of our Pekao S.A. Bank branches
       
  • PIN Number

    • This a personal four-digit number, used, apart from the client number, for identification purposes in TelePekao and PekaoSMS and when you log in for the first time to the website or mobile application or Pekao24 application for tablets.

      While activating your Pekao24 service in our branch, you may select the method for generating the PIN number:
      - you may order your PIN via a free text message – valid 48 hours or until it is changed to a different one (valid with no time limits) for Pekao24.
      - you may define your PIN by the phone with the assistance of our TelePeako consultant (to do so, our consultant will call you back to the phone number provided in the Contract and will switch you to the automated service where you can define your 4-digit PIN yourself).
      - in exceptional cases, your PIN may be sent to you by registered mail to the correspondence address provided for Pekao24 purposes.

      Notice: If you ordered your PIN via the text message or to the correspondence address and did not receive it, please contact the TelePekao consultant by calling 801 365 365 or 42 683 82 32 or visit one of our branches to define a new PIN number.

      Remember your PIN or write it down in such a way that it is not possible for other persons to identify it.

      You may change your PIN to Pekao24:
      - on our website (SETTINGS>PASSWORD AND PIN),
      - in the Pekao24 application for tablets,
      - by means of automated service by calling 801 365 365 or 42 683 82 32,
       
      If your PIN number was disclosed to an unauthorised person, please do the following, for safety reasons:
      - change your PIN number immediately or generate a new PIN number (with the assistance of our consultant or via the website or in the Bank’s branch) or
      - block the Pekao24 service (with the assistance of our consultant, via the website or in the Bank’s branch).

      Notice: if you instruct the preparation of your new PIN to the correspondence address with the help of our TelePekao consultant, it means that all your Pekao24 sites are automatically blocked.
      To unblock them, once you have received your PIN number, please visit our branch or contact our consultant by calling 801 365 365 or 42 683 82 32.

      If you generate a new PIN number via the website, your password to the website remains the same. However, if you generate your new PIN number using text message or with the assistance of our consultant, it will reset your password and you will have to set a new one when logging in to the website or mobile application or Pekao24 application for tablets.

      You do not know your PIN number to Pekao24?

      If you have your password to Pekao24, you may make the instruction to re-generate your PIN number via the website or in the Pekao24 application for tablets.
      Once you have logged in, go to Settings, and select Password and PIN.

      If you do not have the password and cannot log in to the service, go to the nearest Pekao S.A. Bank branch to submit the instruction to generate your new PIN by text message or by the phone.

  • Password

    • This is 8-16 characters code used along with your client number to log in to the website or mobile banking sites. It is defined by the user during the first login to the above-mentioned sites and also if you make an instruction to generate a new PIN number by means of text message or with the assistance of our TelePekao consultant (then the password is reset and you have to enter your PIN number in the first four fields used to enter the password when you log in to the website or mobile banking).

      Your password should include from 8 to 6 characters, digits, capital and small letters and special characters (e.g.: ?, #, @, &) and should be neither a word which may be found in the dictionary nor the password used for other websites.
      Similarly as in case of the PIN number, do not disclose your password to third parties.

      While setting your password, you may verify the level of its security. The password’s strength is determined by its complexity and depends on the length and the types of characters used.

      When logging again, to secure your password even better, you can mask it, and to do so, type in the characters selected randomly by the system from your password.

      For safety reasons, we recommend you to change your password on a regular basis, e.g. in 30-day intervals. To do so, once you have logged in, go to SETTINGS and select “Password and PIN”.
      NOTICE: the new password should be different than the passwords used so far.

      Forgot your Pekao24 password?

      If you remember your PIN to Pekao24, please contact our consultant by calling

      801 365 365 or 42 683 82 32

      to reset the password.

      If you forgot your PIN number, go to the nearest branch of the Pekao S.A. Bank to generate the new PIN, based on which you will set your new password to Pekao24.
       
  • Strong authentication

    • When you log in to the Pekao24, please enter additionally a free authorisation code from the text message or confirm your login procedure in the PeoPay application – according to your choice.

      Such an additional authentication of your identity (so-called strong authentication) will be required:
      • when you log in for the first time or if there has been 90 days since you have last logged in,
      • while checking your account history for the period earlier than 90 days back,
      • while downloading a third in a row and older bank statements.
