Vice President of the Bank’s Management Board, supervising the Products, Segments, and Remote Channels of Retail Banking Division

Michał Panowicz is an experienced manager, creator and leader in the area of digital transformation. He consistently implements financial results (P&L), budgets, operational indicators, staff development and comprehensive implementation of programs in the areas of assets, liabilities, payments, insurance and investment products, retail and SME segments, digital channels, technology and marketing. He has built multi-tasking, agile teams of over 550 people, covering over 40 nationalities and operating in over 20 countries - both in large companies and startups. Michał has won 21 global innovation awards as a result of creating a vision, implementing and commercializing technology-based innovations.

His professional career has been started at Boston Consulting Group. In 2006-2011 he worked for Microsoft, initially as Group Manager in the Global Corporate Strategy Department in Redmond, US and Director of the Management Board Office in the Pricing and Licensing Division. Subsequently in 2011-2015 he worked at mBank as Managing Director of the New mBank Program and Managing Director for Products, Marketing and Electronic Channels, where he was responsible for, among others, implementing Agile throughout the organization. In 2015-2016 he worked at Nordea Bank, whereas Senior Managing Director and Head of Electronic Banking he managed a team of over 550 employees in 6 countries and was responsible for the areas of product, IT, operations, design, CRM and digital sales. Then until 2018 he worked as Vice President of the Management Board for Products and IT at Kreditech, the largest FinTech in Germany. From 2018 to 2024 Michał Panowicz has been Managing Director and Partner of Boston Consulting Group London Office, co-founder of "InQbate" sub-brand of Boston Consulting Group which is an accelerator of building digital solutions, and he was also a member of the Global Committee for the Retail and SME Segment in Boston Consulting Group banking practice as the leader of the Omnichannel area. He is also the author of many publications in this area. Michał Panowicz obtained a master's degree from the Warsaw School of Economics in Finance and Banking and MBA, Harvard Business School, specializing in technology and innovation management.
