Bank Pekao S.A. strengthens customer protection in the digital world
“CyberPEKAO – a sign that protects. Your peace of mind is our mission” – this is the slogan of the latest campaign by Bank Pekao S.A., which emphasizes that online security is not only about advanced technology and protective mechanisms, but above all, about caring for the comfort of clients in the digital world.
Online banking has become a daily routine for millions of Poles. We use it because it is fast and convenient, but with its popularity, the scale of online threats is also increasing. Bank Pekao consistently invests in solutions that protect clients from cyber threats and ensure the highest level of security for their data and funds. Pekao continuously introduces modern security mechanisms and educates users to use online banking consciously and without fear.
"Cybersecurity is not just about technology, but above all, about trust. New Educational Campaign – Six Ways to Safe Banking
As part of the latest educational campaign, Bank Pekao has prepared six short, dynamic videos that clearly present key security features in the PeoPay app and the Pekao24 online service:
- CyberRescue – 24/7 access to cybersecurity experts who will help in emergency situations and advise on matters unrelated to banking.
- Panic Button – a digital security shield. One click is all it takes to instantly cut off fraudsters from your data and money. Zero access, complete control in a split second.
- Behavioral Protection – an intelligent system that analyzes account behavior, detects unusual transactions, and blocks suspicious transactions before funds are lost.
- Two-factor authentication – an additional layer of security that significantly complicates account access even if some of your login credentials are compromised.
- Bank employee identity verification – this ensures customers are talking to a real advisor, not a fraudster impersonating the bank.
- Account Event Notifications – instant alerts about logins, transactions, and setting changes, ensuring customers always know what's happening with their account.
"Secure banking is our priority. In a world where cyberthreats evolve daily, reacting isn't enough—you have to be proactive. That's why we implement advanced protection mechanisms, such as behavioral analysis, multi-factor authentication, and quick lock systems. Our teams monitor threats in real time to minimize risk and protect customer funds" notes Robert Mazur, Director of the Cybersecurity Department at Bank Pekao S.A.

The bank's new video materials are not only a presentation of security features but also a component of a broader brand communication strategy. Pekao focuses on a simple, understandable message that combines expert knowledge with an attractive design – so that every customer can confidently use online banking. The VML agency is responsible for the creative concept, and the videos were created in collaboration with Badi Badi studio and Beat Shop.
