CyberRescue at Bank Pekao – a gift for customers for a safe holiday online

This holiday season, Bank Pekao S.A. is giving its customers a special gift – a free CyberRescue service, which provides 24/7 expert support in online threats. Thanks to this service, Pekao customers can enjoy online shopping without stress or worry. Most importantly, protection will be available not only in the pre-holiday period, but also year-round.

CyberRescue – 24/7 protection in the digital world

Bank Pekao has been systematically implementing solutions that support the security of customers using online banking, such as behavioral protection and the Pekao24 service, which has been implemented in recent months only via the PeoPay app. This time, the bank is offering its customers a free CyberRescue service. This service provides support in online threats such as fraud attempts, scams, and identity theft. With CyberRescue, customers gain 24/7 access to experts who help quickly and effectively respond to threats, including those unrelated to banking.

The launch of the CyberRescue service is a response to the growing threats in the digital world. Cybercriminals are increasingly using advanced social engineering and technical methods to gain access to data or money. Bank Pekao, as one of the leaders in innovation in the banking sector, consistently raises security standards and combines modern technologies with direct expert support. It consistently conducts educational activities on cybersecurity to ensure customers feel safe during various online activities, including when using social media and email.

Benefits for customers using CyberRescue

Bank Pekao offers CyberRescue free of charge to individual customers. They can activate the service on the Pekao24 website by going to the "Offers and Applications" tab, then "e-Services." After activating CyberRescue, if they suspect fraud, attempted data theft, or other threats, customers can contact the CyberRescue team, who will advise them on how to proceed safely and provide quick and effective tips on how to minimize the risk. Customers will also receive periodic updates on current online threats, including when there are signs that cybercriminals are impersonating Bank Pekao.

This is another step in our strategy to build trust and security in the digital age." We have already provided a range of solutions to protect customers from cyber threats, including two-factor login, behavioral protection, business cards confirming the identity of a calling employee, and the ability to quickly block access channels and cards in the PeoPay mobile app and Pekao24 in the event of suspected fraud (the so-called panic button). New service added to Pekao's portfolio

CyberRescue is also another value-added service (VAS), which, in addition to the ability to purchase parking tickets, city tickets, and automatic highway tolls, is now available in the bank's online banking. Besides being free, the service works across the entire digital world, protecting not only Pekao users but also being available immediately on the Pekao24 website.

"Similar to the implementation of previous value-added services in our online banking, we are collaborating with a proven partner – a company specializing in online threat protection, whose solutions are recognized in the market. This gives our customers access to professional support, previously available primarily from specialized security services. Now – at no additional cost – they can benefit from protection that goes beyond banking and encompasses the entire digital world. The timing of this service is no coincidence. The holidays are a hot time for online shopping, promotions, parcels, and fast transfers. This is a time of particularly heightened criminal activity.
