Employee well-being is Pekao's priority – this is the third Wellbeing Leader certificate for the bank

On September 8th, World Wellbeing Day, Bank Pekao S.A. has a special reason to be proud. For the third time, the bank has received the prestigious Wellbeing Leader certificate, awarded by the Wellbeing Institute to organizations that create a work environment that fosters engagement, satisfaction, and the achievement of business goals by placing people at the center.

The Wellbeing Leader certificate covers six key areas of wellbeing: awareness, physical and mental health, interpersonal relationships, work environment, systems and processes, and organizational culture. Bank Pekao was recognized for its consistent and comprehensive efforts across all these dimensions.

"The presented solutions fully demonstrate not only a professional approach but also a passion for action at both the individual and business levels," we read in the congratulatory letter from the Wellbeing Institute.

Systemic solutions for employees

Bank Pekao S.A. For years, the bank has consistently implemented and developed initiatives that support employee well-being and address their real needs.

One such initiative is the "Take Your Health by the Horns" program, which promotes a healthy lifestyle and preventative care. This program is further supported by broad access to private healthcare and sports activities, such as MiLOVE activities with Żubr (a Żubr event) and the annual Pekao Cup tournament. This year, the bank also implemented the Mental Health Navigator, a program that provides leaders with practical tools to support them in consciously and responsibly responding to situations related to reduced employee mental well-being. The IdeaCrowd platform, a place for sharing ideas and suggestions that have a real impact on the solutions and initiatives implemented at the bank, also continues to be very popular.

We also place equal importance on the quality of relationships and building an aspirational organizational culture. Initiatives such as the "Stars of Cooperation" competition, the "#StraightbyMyName" campaign, "ŻubRady" (Bison Councils), and the Pekao Group Code of Conduct foster an atmosphere of trust, engagement, and openness throughout the organization. It's worth emphasizing that we not only prioritize work-life balance, but also competency development – hence our initiatives in the areas of financial education, diversity and inclusion, and burnout prevention. Our approach to workplace organization complements all of this. Our modern headquarters, located in a green and well-connected environment, supports a hybrid work model, making flexibility and comfort a natural part of everyday life at the bank.

The Wellbeing Leader 2025 certificate confirms that Bank Pekao is among the best employers in Poland, approaching employee well-being comprehensively and strategically.
