Banking Champions 2025 – diverse development paths for young talents

Bank Pekao S.A. launched the latest edition of its Banking Champions development program, aimed at students and graduates from across Poland. As part of this program, over 70 people began working in various bank units, both at headquarters and in the regions, gaining firsthand experience of modern banking.

The program offers participants the opportunity to gain practical experience in many areas of the bank's operations—from finance, analytics, risk, and corporate banking, through marketing, communications, and HR, to IT solutions. The six-month internship format allows young people to not only develop their professional skills but also become actively involved in projects and business team tasks.

"Banking Champions is more than just an internship. It's an experience that combines knowledge, relationships, and development. For many participants, it's their first exposure to a large organization and a complex work environment. We want them to gain not only competencies but also self-confidence and a sense of influence" says Przemysław Stalica, Director of the People, Organization, and CX Division at Bank Pekao S.A

"We believe that a diversity of experiences, perspectives, and work environments is the best way to understand modern banking and find your future career path. This year, we invited young people to work with us in multiple locations, showing them both the scale of our operations and the specific teams in which they can work and develop" adds Marzena Mielecka, Director of the Development Management and Organizational Culture Department at Bank Pekao S.A.

The program is offered as a full-time or part-time employment contract, with the option of hybrid work and additional benefits, including paid time off for exam periods. The initiative is accompanied by an extensive development program, and participants also have access to the LinkedIn Learning platform. Interns can also engage in the bank's social initiatives, gaining a comprehensive perspective on the organization's operations.
