Art and history in three cities. Bank Pekao invites you to Museum Night 2025.

The performance "Through the Eyes of a Lyric Poet" at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, works by Stanisław Wyspiański in Krakow, or a visit to the Gallery of Polish Art from the 18th century to 1945 in Poznań, enhanced by paintings from the collection of Bank Pekao – these are the proposals prepared for visitors as part of this year's edition of the Night of Museums. Already this coming Saturday, Bank Pekao S.A. invites everyone to discover art together by making selected works from its collection available to the general public.

The Night of Museums is one of the most popular cultural events that attracts millions of people each year, eager to explore the richness of Polish culture in a unique, nighttime atmosphere. As part of this year's edition, Bank Pekao, as a longstanding patron of the arts, will share selected works from its collection with the public, showcasing how art connects with history and values.

Tourists and residents of Warsaw will be able to participate in a unique screening of the film "Through the Eyes of a Lyricist," presented at the Royal Castle. The production brings closer the story of the monumental work by Wojciech Kossak, "The Battle of the Pyramids," a fragment of which is part of the bank's collection. In Poznań, at the National Museum, visitors can explore the Gallery of Polish Art from the 18th century to 1945, enriched with 20 paintings donated by Pekao, including works by Stanisław Kamocki, Jan Nepomucen Głowacki, and Jan Stanisławski. Meanwhile, at the National Museum in Kraków, two paintings by Stanisław Wyspiański – "Violas" and "The Eagle" – will be presented. This is the last opportunity to see them live in this space.

- Participation in the Night of Museums is for Pekao a natural continuation of our long-standing mission to protect and promote Polish cultural heritage. Over the decades, we have gathered nearly 1,200 works of art by outstanding Polish artists. Today, we not only collect them but also make them accessible to a wide audience through a virtual Art Gallery, outdoor exhibitions, and vernissages. We believe that art brings beauty, values, and emotions that create a bond with our history and culture. That is why we are pleased to invite everyone to jointly discover the unique works from our collection – says Jorge Sanchez, Director of the Marketing Department at Bank Pekao S.A.

Bank Pekao S.A. has been acting as a patron of the arts for many years, collecting and sharing works of the most outstanding Polish artists with others, among others through a virtual Art Gallery and organizing numerous cultural events. In 2024, in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, the bank prepared a series of documentary films dedicated to selected works and their authors. In the same year, some of the paintings were archived in the World Arctic Archive as part of the ARCHIV3 project. This initiative was awarded in the prestigious Financial Times & PWM Wealth Tech Awards.
