Bank Pekao S.A. is the best sustainable finance bank in Central and Eastern Europe according to Global Finance magazine

Bank Pekao S.A. received the prestigious distinction "The Best Bank for Sustainable Finance in Central and Eastern Europe for 2024" awarded by the renowned Global Finance magazine. This global ranking recognizes achievements in the field of sustainable finance, such as financing initiatives aimed at mitigating the negative effects of climate change and supporting the building of a more sustainable future. – We are honored to receive the award from Global Finance. Global Finance is a magazine addressed to managers responsible for making investment and strategic decisions. The awards are granted with the participation of analysts, corporate directors and technology experts. In its strategy for 2021-2024, Bank Pekao assumed that it would organize financing for new sustainable projects in the amount of at least PLN 30 billion. This number will consist of at least PLN 8 billion of new financing for sustainable projects, including green and social projects, and support for the issuance of ESG bonds by the bank's clients in the amount of at least PLN 22 billion. The share of green financing – including, among others: such projects as wind farms, photovoltaic installations, low-emission transport and ecological construction - will increase to over 4%.
